Why switch to LED inside your car?

Switching to interior LED lighting is the most accessible modification — immediately visible, without legal constraints, and with excellent value for money. Concrete advantages:

• Immediate visual result — pure white or colored light that modernizes the cabin's ambiance
• 10 times longer lifespan than halogen — no more frequent replacements of dome or license plate bulbs
• Negligible power consumption on the battery — you can leave the dome light on much longer without risk
• No technical modification required — 30-second installation per bulb
• No homologation needed for the interior — 100% legal switch

W5W and T10 LED parking lights

Parking lights are the first bulbs to switch to LED for an immediate "white light" effect on the position lights. W5W and T10 refer to exactly the same bulb — you can buy either one interchangeably. Compatible as a direct replacement on most vehicles. For high-end models with CAN-Bus, choose the canbus version to avoid the error light on the dashboard.

LED Dome Light: festoon or round?

Two types of bases equip car dome lights:

• C5W festoon bulbs — oblong shape, in 3 standard lengths: 31 mm (city cars), 36 mm (the most versatile), 42 mm (SUVs and premium sedans). Measure the old bulb to choose the correct length.
• BA9s or T4W — 9 mm bayonet base for traditional round dome lights.

Available in cool white (6,500 K — modern, bright) or warm white (3,000-4,000 K — similar to halogen, softer).

LED Dashboard: T5 and W1.2W

Modernizing the lighting of the speedometer, air conditioning, and car radio involves T5 bulbs (5 mm diameter) and W1.2W bulbs (very small indicator lights). Available in several colors: white, blue, green, red, amber — depending on the desired style. To maintain visual consistency, preferably choose a color identical to the vehicle's original lighting.

Technical note: some dashboard LEDs are directional (with polarity). If the LED does not light up after installation, remove it and reinsert it rotated 180°.

LED License Plate

Switching the license plate to LED provides a very clean and uniform visual appearance. The most common format: pure white W5W. Important: the highway code requires white light for the rear license plate — any other color (blue, purple, etc.) is forbidden and will result in a fine.
