Multi-Pin Connectors: Group and Disconnect with a Single Action

Automotive electrical connectors allow you to group multiple cables into a single, detachable connection point. The plastic housing protects the contacts from moisture, dust, and friction; the locking latch ensures a secure connection even under intense vibrations.

Essential for:

• Harness extensions (full extension to disconnect for maintenance)
• Trailer wiring harnesses (7 or 13-pin socket for trailers)
• Installation of additional lights (LED light bar, long-range spotlights)
• Removable accessories (winch, inflator, work light)

Available Connector Types

• Latching connectors (Deutsch, AMP) — plastic clip locking, good sealing, disassembled by pressing the latch.
• Terminal blocks — screw terminals in a plastic body for connecting multiple wires. Economical, but less compact.
• Quick splice connectors (Wago type) — lever clamping, tool-free. Very quick for testing or temporary installations.

Choosing the Right Connector

Selection criteria:

• Number of pins — depending on the number of wires to be connected (2, 4, 6, 7, 13 pins are the most common)
• Maximum cross-section per pin — determined by the connector type
• Ingress Protection (IP) rating — minimum IP67 for outdoor use, IP54 for protected indoor use
