Why buy in pairs?
A complete bullet connection absolutely requires both parts: a male bullet terminal (pin) and a female bullet terminal (socket) of the same diameter. Buying in pairs avoids the common mistake of taking a male and a female of different diameters — incompatible, and therefore unusable.
Typical cases where a pair is sufficient:
- Installation of an additional headlight or a remote spotlight
- Creation of a detachable connection on a long cable
- Installation of a detachable accessory (winch, compressor, inflator)
- Repair of a faulty original bullet terminal
Choosing the right pair depending on the use
- 2.8mm Pair — signals and small accessories (up to 5–8 A)
- 4mm Pair — standard automotive use, lighting, relays (10–20 A) — the most common
- 6mm Pair — high power, winch, halogen spotlight, secondary battery (up to 30 A)
Installation
Crimp each part onto the end of its respective cable (male on one, female on the other). Insert the two parts axially to close the circuit. For damp areas, add a heat-shrink sleeve around the joint to ensure waterproofing.
