High-definition signaling, safety, and V2X
Valeo unveiled a high-definition MiniLED external display module for car bodies. The idea is to project readable pictograms (pedestrian crossing, bypass arrow, warning) to communicate with other road users and enhance safety, especially at night or in poor visibility.
The technology uses a dense matrix of micro-light sources, controlled in real time, to offer a clear signature without glare. In the context of assisted driving and dense urbanization, this "communicating lighting" is part of the emergence of visual V2X, complementing vehicle radars/cameras.

Softer demand, adjustments in Zwickau and Emden
The group confirmed a production reduction plan and temporary shutdowns at two sites specializing in electric vehicles. The affected lines will be halted for a few days to adjust volumes to European demand, which is less dynamic than expected.
Beyond short-term arbitration, the manufacturer states it is continuing its projects on electrification and industrial cost reduction. Local teams remain mobilized to focus activity on the most promising versions and markets.

Software update and new system for 2025 model year
Following demanding evaluations, BYD has deployed an OTA update on existing models and introduced a revised assisted driving system for the 2025 model year. The European organization notes an improvement in scores for both assistance and safety rescue.
These adjustments confirm the increasing maturity of ADAS in the market, where the perceived quality of assistance (smoothness, readability of alerts) weighs as much as raw performance in gaining driver trust.

From September 16 to 22, 2,500+ cities mobilized
The 2025 edition concluded with strong participation around the theme "Mobility for Everyone." The program included school streets, calmed streets, bike and walk tests, and "car-free day" operations in several urban centers.
Beyond the events, the message is one of more accessible and equitable mobility. Cities highlighted the safety of vulnerable users, intermodality, and feedback to prepare for permanent developments in 2026.

Monthly volume slightly better, market still mixed
Data published for September show an increase of approximately 1% in passenger car registrations. Dynamics remain heterogeneous depending on brands, model availability, and end-of-quarter discount decisions.
Over nine months, the market remains down. Players are banking on key Q4 launches, rationalization of trim levels, and better clarity on delivery times, particularly for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Practical advice: anticipate Sunday journeys
The "Grande Classique" caused closures and detours on the Eiffel Tower → Château de Versailles axis on Sunday, September 28, with limited access in several streets and areas. Residents and services were authorized under certain conditions.
For motorists, the challenge was to bypass the affected area during race hours. Organizers and local authorities communicated diversion routes and reopening time windows.

Central perimeter pedestrianized from 10 am to 6 pm
On the first Sunday of the month, motorized traffic is prohibited in a large part of central Paris (with exceptions). The objective: to calm the city, encourage walking, cycling, and family outings.
Motorists needing to cross the heart of the capital benefit from planning a bypass route and checking the perimeter map before departure.

Stock management and difficult European context
The group announced a production suspension from October 27 to November 2 at the Mulhouse plant (308, 408, DS 7). The measure aims to adjust stocks in a less buoyant European economic climate.
Industrial teams are preparing for a gradual recovery, prioritizing the most in-demand versions and closely monitoring order books as the end of the year approaches.
