The R5W bulb is a single-filament lamp with a 15mm diameter base. There are 2 symmetrical pins on the base. The base has one contact on the bottom of the bulb. It is a very common bulb for the side light. The side light is always 4W or 5W. The R5W bulb is also used in cases where the rear light is separate from the brake light.
